What is Value-Adjusted-Price?
Not all products are built the same. Sometimes, a mattress that costs $1000 can be as high-quality as one that costs $3000. Price doesn’t always correlated with quality, which is why we came up with Value-Adjusted Price (VAP).
VAP is our estimated market-value of a mattress based on its features relative to other options in the market.
Simplified Example
Mattress Specifications X = $1200 per mattress on average
• Height: 28cm
• Layers: 6
• Material Quality: 8/10
• Spring Count: 200
Mattresses being measured
Mattress A: Retail Price $600
Mattress B: Retail Price $1800
Analysis
- The Average market-price you have to pay to get a mattress with “Mattress Specifications X” is = $1200
- Mattress A analysis
- Mattress A selling price is $600, but has a VAP of $1200
- With Mattress A, you get more than what you’re paying for (compared to the average mattress on the market)
- Mattress B analysis

- With Mattress B, you get less than what you’re paying for (compared to the average mattress on the market)
